Here is my nephew Owen.  He is a stud.  And when I saw this picture...I couldn't help but notice how much he looks like my brother.  See??
Tell me...do these guys not just look exactly alike?

Since this weeks post has been all about Macy...here are a few pictures from this year of preschool that I got off of his preschool teachers blog.

It was very cute the other day when I was walking him up to the door of his preschool to drop him off.  Another little girl in his class was walking up too and said in her cute little voice, "Hi Mack".  Mack acted embarrassed.  I'm not sure if it was because a girl was talking to him period, or if it was because a girl was talking to him while his mother was there...it was pretty cute.

Isn't she precious?

I think I'll keep her.

I thought Scott was being mean feeding her this lemon...at first.  She ate it for a while as we all anxiously watched and waited for that hilarious sour face moment.  It never came.  Til she loved it.

Macy and Tregan love playing the piano.  Macy plays our piano all the time.  She has ridiculously long fingers.  She will definitely be great one day at it.

Tregan thought he was pretty great.

But Macy was all business.

Macy is a great sleeper.  I especially love how she sleeps...

Sleep is way better when your butt is up in the air...

And when it's dark out.  Although I bet she didnt appreciate the smell of Kenny's hat.

Kaylyn finished the valence that goes with his quilt.  And we actually covered up  most of his arched window and it helps keep a lot of the sunlight out in the mornings so he sleeps better.  Looks great!

He's so handsome.

Sunday, March 20, 2011

I turned around the other day and saw this..
She pulled herself up into standing position.  And why?  I'm pretty sure it was because she wanted to get a better look at Law and Order on TV.  It could have been because she wanted to touch more buttons...

She also likes to drink from straws, crawl EVERYWHERE, eat chocolate, laugh, yell, and she DEFINITELY has an attitude.  I wonder where she gets that?

Have I mentioned that he wears his helmet everywhere?

Friday, March 18, 2011

We have had some nice days lately.  Nice enough where me and the kids have actually been able to go outside!

Mack got to ride his bike...
And play in the dirt...(his tongue was ALWAYS out.)

And jumping down here to peek through the window.

Macy on the other hand...
Had a blast.  See how red her hair is getting?

P.S...
Macy ALWAYS has lint in between her fingers.  Always.

The Many Faces of Mack

But I like this one:

(Excuse the dirty face)

Mack really gets into basketball.  He's pretty awesome.  Especially when the hoop is at eye level.  That always helps I guess.

Unfortunately...he doesn't always make them...
'
But he sure has some awesome dunks.

The one perk to going to the gym at 6AM every morning...the beautiful sunrises.
I love Macy.

Especially when she gets in her giggly little moods.

This is some homework he had to fill out for Mack's preschool.  A lot of it is pretty innocent.  What little boys favorite color ISN'T pink?  I would especially like to draw attention to the line "Did you know I like..."  I swear I didn't put words in his mouth.  I just asked him what he liked to do and that is what he told me.  So I wrote it down.  I think he has mastered the art of sucking up.  I wish that were all he liked to do.  Wouldn't that make like easier?
We all have those movies that we used to LOVE as kids and watch a ton.  And then we grow up, and we kind of forget about them.  A lot of times we go to back to watch them years later and some of them maybe arent as good as we remember.  Sometimes, they are even better than we remember.  Here is my list of movies:

10 Movies that I used to love to watch and haven’t seen in the longest time:

10.  Blank Check
When I was little, this movie was my dream.  It seemed amazing.  Who wouldn't love forging a check for $1 Million or however much it was for and it actually gets cashed?  As an adult, I now realize this movie was not very realistic.

9. Buffy the Vampire Slayer

I still love this movie.  Luke Perry...so cute in this movie.  The acting is horrible, yes.  But who cares when you have him to stare at?

8.  Ernest Goes to Jail
I haven't seen this one since I was a little kid.  But for some reason we LOVED this movie.

7.  Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (the real ones)

We used to borrow these movies from the Croshaw's all the time.  They were great.  I've watched them recently.  They are terrible.  But I will always love them because of nostalgia.

6.  A League of Their Own
This is still a great movie.  The best Madonna has ever done.  And Rosie O'Donnell.  And Tom Hanks is excellent in this movie too.

5.  Ernest Scared Stupid
Out of any movie growing up, this movie TERRIFIED me and Tyson.   It taught me some very important lessons.  Like when you turn off your light at night, #1, you better never look under your bed because there will be a scary troll there that will turn you to a little wooden statue of yourself, and #2, you better just run and jump into bed, or else that troll will grab your foot.  It also taught me that if I'm being attacked by trolls, it is very handy to have a squirt gun filled with milk.  It will kill them.

4.  What About Bob

This is by far my favorite Bill Murray movie.  Hilarious.

3.  3 Ninjas
We used to borrow this one from the Croshaw's ALL the time.  It was amazing.  I mean, Rocky was a total babe.

2.  Labyrinth
Classic.

1.  Sandlot
Again...classic.  Benny was a total babe.

What were your favorite movies growing up?

This is what I found the other morning after coming home from the gym.  So sweet.

Let me explain what happened here.  Mack is very strong.  Remember? He is strong.  Well how did he get those big biceps?  Well I found out.  He was using the towel rack in my downstairs bathroom do to pull-ups.  Yes. My 3 year old can do pull-ups.  Unfortunately, the towel rack couldn't take the 36 lbs he weighs.
