I got these two ads in the mail today.  I thought they were pretty funny.  Notice the first one:

I love at the top how it says "Age Gracefully with us and join the fun"...they probably could have chose different models to showcase aging gracefully.

Now notice the second one...
The entertainment...the Saliva Sisters?  TERRIBLE name!  And I especially love what's happening on Saturday.  A livestock sale?  hahaha I sure do love living in a small town.  Maybe I will be seeing a few new cows behind my house after Saturday!

On fathers day, we went over to my parents for dinner.  All of a sudden we heard Cohen cracking up and this is what I found.  mack pretending to slip on puzzle pieces.  It was pretty funny.

He did this for seriously like 30 minutes straight.  Drove in circles.

Saturday, June 25, 2011

This last week Brad had a little vacation time to use before the end of the month.  So this is what he did...

He started putting the sprinklers in.  A lot of TOUGH work.

This is what Mack did.  He rode his four wheeler.

I carried sprinkler pipes and showcased my muscles.

This is what Macy did.  And she looked at cows.  And she kept Meema very busy while she was here helping out.

Macy+Sink Bath=The need for a splash zone.

Thursday, June 23, 2011

Macy loves watching her daddy play softball.  She's hooked on the game.

My kids are cute.  And so are my new blue chairs for my porch.

Tuesday, June 21, 2011

Macy can fall asleep in some pretty weird positions.  But this one is just plain cute!  She looks very troubled in her sleep too...what can a 10 month old have to be troubled about?!

Sunday, June 19, 2011

I bought Mack that soldier helmet at Michaels for $1.  He loves it, especially when he has his sword that he got from Santa.  This is his fierce warrior face.

Exhibit A:  Macy's "I Dream of Jeannie" Wink.  She does it all the time.  Exhibit B:  Macy refuses to say mom.  Every time I ask her so say mom...she says Papa instead.  Maybe she thinks Papa means Mom.

The other day, Mack drew out of his jar, it told him to paint a picture.  So he did.  He painted a picture on a big canvas.  And apparently, he wants to give it to his uncle Dude (aka. Steven.) So he wrote DUDE on the bottom so he wouldn't forget who he was giving it to.

Then Macy decided she wasn't happy just sitting in her high chair.  She decided she wanted to stand up. Who knew she could do that? Guess we'll have to start using the seatbelt now.

This is my back yard.  This is my back yard at sunset.  This is my back yard with the cows on the other side of the little wire fence.  This is my back yard with a view of the great salt lake. I love where I live.

Macy has started walking. Everywhere.  In these two videos, she is wearing Mack's BYU football jersey  since she messed through too many outfits that day and I didn't want to ruin any more clothes.

The other morning I went to the gym.  I left at 5:50 AM.  Both kids were in their own bed when I left.  I came home an hour later and found this in my room.  So sweet.
My little firecracker...

Me, Erica, and Sam ran the Dirty Dash last weekend.  Although it was only a 5k, it seriously almost killed me.  It was a 5k on steroids.  Not only was the 1st mile pretty much up a muddy hill, but we were jumping over bales of hay, climbing through big tubes, climbing over walls, and running through mud pits.  The rest of the race was filled with knee highs through a field of tires, running through a marsh (where you're shoes picked up like 10 pounds of mud), climbing under nets, walking up a nasty nasty hill, slide down a slip and slide, and sloshing through a mud bog.  It was so much fun but definitely challenged me BIG time.  Thanks Erica and Sam for stickin with me even when I needed just one more break...

That's why they call this race the Dirty Dash.  I'll be doing it again next year.

I took the kids to Brad's softball game the other day.  Macy thought she was pretty funny.

Saturday, June 11, 2011

Macy apparently didn't think she was close enough to the TV.  So she pushed a toy over and stood on top of it so she could watch a little Land Before Time.

Friday, June 10, 2011

I came across this picture from last summer.  Look how little Mack was!  It made me very excited for this summer.

Thursday, June 9, 2011

Macy started walking.  And wearing pony tails...if you can call them that.  And she FINALLY got her first two teeth.
Here she is walking...

Can you tell she is a little firecracker?

Wednesday, June 8, 2011

We went to the park the other day.  It was finally beautiful enough outside to go.  So we went and got some Happy Meals and took them to the park.  Macy loves eating french fries.

NOthing makes a mother happier than when her kids love each other.  Right moms?
But what little boy likes to be kissed by his sister?

And what little sister doesn't love to tackle her brother?

Monday, June 6, 2011

So in order to keep mack busy while school is out, I decided that we were going to do at least one fun thing per day.  So i made a huge list of things to do, under 3 categories.  Field trips, treats to make, and activities/games.  I have them cut up and put in 3 separate jars.  I decided he can draw out of the jar every morning and we will do whatever is on the slip of paper.  Here is what he drew today (day 1):

So what does he choose?  He chooses chocolate chip cookies.  Real special.  But, we made them.  He thought it was the coolest.

Don't they bake faster if you watch them?

It's a rainy day in May.  Again.  Where is the Cat in the Hat when you need him?

Saturday, June 4, 2011

We love Facetime on the ipad.  When Macy can see herself on the screen, she thinks she's pretty awesome.  And Mack is just obsessed with the ipad in general.  At first he said it was his.  Now, if Brad mentions, "my ipad", Mack is quick to correct with "you mean the FAMILY ipad".  He even asked for his own for his 4th birthday. Yeah right.

Macy's hair is just barely long enough for a pony tail right on the top of her head.  Barely.

Thursday, June 2, 2011

The cows behind our house are back.  Every day, they take the same path around the outside of the field behind our house.  They always come by our part of the fence in the afternoons.  This is the highlight of Macy's day.  She presses her nose to the glass and watches them.  As soon as they pass out of her view, she starts to cry.  She loves the cows.  One of these days, we will see if she likes them closer up.

I have had my eyes on this painting for quite a while now.  It's titled, "He's Not Here".  Finally, I bought it for myself to go above my piano.  It completely changes the feel of the entire room.  I LOVE it!  Such a simple picture with such a ginormous meaning.
