Macy thinks Mack is the funniest kid.
I thought I would jump on the BLOGGING TRAIN and start my own blog so I can keep people updated on how my family is doing and what's new in the life of THE BROWNS.

Last week Macy got pretty sick. I took her to the Doctor, she had 103.5 degree temp. And the inside of her mouth was all white. She ended up having a really bad ear infection and thrush. But even though she was really sick...she was still trying to be happy.
(Sorry for the horrible quality of video)
P.S I'm off to Hawaii. Aloha!

Here is part 2 of our girls trip...
Erica and I woke up early monday morning to go and do a session at the St. George temple. It was my first time being there. It was amazing. What a great time I had! Although Erica and I were the only people under the age of 70 in our temple session. Nikki and Mom spent a lot of the day looking for houses since Nikki is moving in a couple of months.
And then we were REALLY lucky that my dad stopped by to spend the night with us before he went on to Vegas the next morning.
The last day, we played some volleyball before heading back home:

Almost Nikki...
Erica is so buff. And tough.
And cute Courtney...So sweet and nice. And she is a dang good volleyball player now!
We had sooo much fun on this trip. Shopping, games, movies, and eating topped off with a little bit of sarcasm always makes for a good girls trip. THanks Mom for everything!

So last weekend me and my mom and sisters went on our yearly girls weekend to St. George. Here is part 1 of the highlights:
On the drive down, we stopped in a little town called Joseph, Utah. It is where my Grandpa Gilbert was born and we have a lot of family history there. I'd never been there and was quite interested in seeing this:
This is the headstone marking the grave of my great grandmother who died when my grandpa was only 2. I had always heard about her and was very excited to make a connection with her.
This was an adorable General Store that has been turned into a hair solon.
This was an old church house that has been turned into a reception hall, but I thought it was a very cute church house.
And this is the random turkey that was walking across the road. Apparently, in Joseph, you don't need to keep your animals fenced in.
We spent the first couple of days shopping and playing games. Our sister in law, Lindsey, is pretty much the coolest person ever. I want to be just like her when I grow up. We played a really fun game, Bananagrams. Lindsey is really good at it. See?
She uses really sophisticated language.
And she taught us a really fun card game called Spades. We had a blast with that one.
Did I mention that we are totally hilarious? We laughed the entire weekend. We laughed till our stomachs hurt.
And we completed a totally scientific experiment...
You can't really see what we wrote on here. But we did the chinese pencil test that tells you how many kids you are going to have and what order the gender will be. Here is what we got:
Nikki: Boy, Girl, Boy, Girl, Boy, Girl, Boy, Girl (8 kids total). Nikki, you better get cracking on those last 5 kids.
Linds: Boy, Boy, Girl, Boy
Me: Boy, Girl, Boy, Girl
Erica: Boy, Boy, Girl, Boy, Girl (there may have been another boy at the end..I can't remember. )
And Courtney...I can't remember what she had...anyone remember?
Anyway, it was pretty crazy how the kids that we have had this far were 100% accurate. Like I said...scientific.

Courtney turned 13 a few weeks ago!! We had a surprise birthday party for her. I had more fun at her party than any of mine that I have had.
Courtney's friend got her a few goldfish. They died while we were on our girls trip.
They played the candybar game...
And they played the penny and the flour game...
And they played "Find the fishy cracker in the Whipped Cream"...
So much fun. Mack had a blast running around with all these girls. And I had a blast helping out with the party! Happy birthday Courtney!
